A comprehensive plan is a big-picture guide for a community’s future. It covers things like land use, housing, infrastructure, and public health and safety to help guide growth and development. The plan is informed by community input and helps local leaders with decision-making and funding allocation.

The Comprehensive Plan is being led by the Village of Hoffman Estates in partnership with a consultant team led by All Together, a place-based creative agency with expertise in public engagement. The planning effort is guided by Village leadership and shaped by input from staff, residents, local business owners, and key stakeholders across the Village.

The Hello Hoffman planning process puts community input first. There are three main steps:

1. Where are we now? - Learning about current conditions and what residents think

2. Where do we want to go? - Setting goals and creating a vision for the future

3. How do we get there? - Making a plan with clear next steps

Residents can get involved through pop-up events, community workshops, and online activities. A Steering Committee will help guide the process and make sure the final plan reflects what the community wants and needs.
